Integrity, conviction. He is a breath of much needed fresh air. Mr. Mamdani continues to show us what a leader, who actually cares, looks like. I hope he can inspire more to stand up and say that enough is enough; ICE has to go.

This is such an easy message to get behind. There are millions of people out there that support abolishing ICE right now. The democrats need a total united front with a clear message: ICE must be dismantled, and they will stoop to whatever level is necessary to get the job done. They need to crowdsource identifying agents who committed the heinous acts and bring them to justice, or at the very least, into the light. Every single one involved is part of the conspiracy, and bears the responsibility for all of their sadistic brothers’ crimes.

This must happen, now. Every single democrat has to get in line for this to have a chance of working. There has got to be a way to interrupt the states crimes against the people of our nation.

Better act fast cause the rest of the world is moving on without you !

Are they? I see quite a few far-right movements gaining traction around the world. That combined with the governments of other countries being reluctant to take decisive action against the US is not an encouraging sign.

[–] gdog05@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

As of yesterday, I think the decisive action has begun. Financially and militarily should the US attempt to invade Greenland.

I very much hope so! Fascism must be aggressively opposed wherever it pops up!

But really, the US should be sanctioned and ostracized whether it invades or not.

I want the world to move away from the usa till it stop being an imperialist country

Does the US keep the laws immigrations & customs technically enforce, especially as they had during previous administrations before Trump warped them into his state terrorist brigade?

Keeping the laws while abolishing their enforcers smacks of feel-good idiocy. The police are still horrible. Why not abolish them & keep the laws: we can depend on humanity to deal with all legal & criminal matters there, too, right?

None of this would be happening if every Democrat voter actually voted.

[–] stephen01king@piefed.zip 3 points 6 days ago

And no murder will happen if every person doesn't murder anyone, but we all know that is just a fantasy.

[–] bold_atlas@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

It also wouldn't be happening if every Democrat politician in the last 30 years wasn't a lazy sellout who happily gave their legislative powers to the executive; powers that Trump is now using to destroy the country.

But yeah, I suppose you could ignore all that and just blame alienated voters if you want to.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca -1 points 5 days ago

But there would be a different crisis because democrats kicked the ball forward on immigration for over a decade. There was never a hard plan.
