Look, the democrats are evil. But they are not the same level of evil we are seeing right now with this current administration. Posts like this one that selectively show information to reinforce “both sides are the exact same” narratives are not what’s needed right now.
Now in all fairness, inflation is a thing and in the last 10 years there has been a lot of noise about stopping fentanyl. Dont forget that the C is Customs.
It's the same bullshit some users pushed on this platform for the previous election. "vote third party because democrats also support Israel", how did that go? I'm sure Kamala would have behaved just like Trump, since both parties are the same huh?
I am just from small shitty european country, but I think thats the main point, you need to vote for third, fourth hell even fifth party, because the binary selection is exactly the culprit. We have government consisted of 6 parties, that brings you closer to freedom. In US you are choosing from bad or even worse.
It’s also completely disingenuous. Every country needs customs and immigration enforcement. Just from a perspective of preventing transmission of plants and animals that do not belong in other countries. So yeah if travel increases then the budget for things travel related will increase as well. Pretending like what Trump is doing now with the Gestapo is anything similar to funding the department in previous years is so disingenuous as to be essentially a lie.
Being a leftist and holding leftist beliefs is not disingenuous
This is whats needed right now, they will start politicking for our votes in a few months hoping political amnesia has kicked in and we will have forgotten everything they did which led us to where we are right now. Don't be confused with lesser evil bullshit, theres only evil.
There absolutely is lesser evil. And then when the lesser evil is in power, you can choose the lesser evil for the next local and state and primary. Gradual slide to the right is how we got here. A gradual slide to the left is better than continuing that trajectory. A rapid move to the left would be better of course.
Except that your lesser evil never moves to the left. If you allow a small, acceptable amount of evil, the amount of evil that's acceptable next time is slightly larger. When you compound that over 50 years you have a party that's gone from the likes of Jimmy Carter to the party that's saying what genocide in Gaza.
