If a moderator is banned or has been inactive for a while, we can assign new moderators to the communities where they are moderating.
The rules are simple:
-
If you believe that a mod is not active, create a post here with the title "Requesting /c/community". Write your reasons below. Make sure tag an admin.
-
We send a message to that mod, if its not clear they're active or not.
-
If there is no return, you will be appointed as mod.
Don't forget to mention an admin.

Thanks. Would it be possible to remove the superfluous underscore from the name of the community? So "ab_dl" would become "abdl".
The site seems to treat them as the same name, but the underscore is very ugly, especially in the URL.
Unfortunately no, that's not possible with the wha Lemmy works
Damn...
Would it be possible to delete the community and then remake it with the new name/url? (There's not too much content or activity yet.)
If you'd like to limit posts and then change the name/make a post to direct people to the new community that would probably be the best way
Sadly it looks like that wont work either, because Lemmy considers "ab_dl" and "abdl" to be the same community name, so I can't make a new community without the underscore, I geuss.
I think the only way to remove the underscore would be to rename or remove the existing community from the database. But I'm not sure. I've send yay a PM asking if there's any possibility of that, but if not I might be out of luck.
no that community apparently also exists, the creator is deleted so I can add you to it
edit: done.
Oh, I see. Thanks a lot for the help!
