And as for why the dentist acted that way, he thought they'd say, "Holy shit! How did you know that?" or "No, but I had a dentist from Slovenia!" and they'd be amazed by the dentist's knowledge.
The dentist had no fallback plan if his amazing guess didn't work, and he didn't know what to do, so it became super awkward.
$10 that OP has a Serbian dentist or spent time there.
if Serbian dentists are anything like Serbian filmmakers...
Oof, that's one of those movies you try to forget about.
Dang, I figured he got sucked off through a glory hole in Slovenia once and recognized the tooth and gum line or somthing.....clearly I watch too much porn
I was half hoping the comment would end with undertaker and mankind, but an actual explanation is cool too.
One thing I miss from reddit is the meme accounts. Shittymorph is a hero.
Lemmy is pretty hostile to bit accounts
That makes me happy. That kind of stuff was always my least favorite aspect of reddit.
Yep. If I ever saw a long post I'd zip to the end to see if it was worth reading.
However, sometimes when I would scroll back up to read it I'd then think "fuck it" and not read it. Not always, but some.
It just felt tiring to have to try to dodge shitty posts. I'm glad I left reddit, and I'm glad that overly tiring bullshit isn't here.
Wait that wasn't a fake Margot Robbie?
Some of these dental techniques are not simply bizzare. A very common example is "Russian Red", a resin used in various contexts, e. g. for filling rooth canals that is notoriously hard to remove and toxic.

Interesting that the US dentist thinks OP’s dentist asked them if they’ve ever been to Slovenia but then mentions lots of Slovenians came to the US.
From the little bit I read about the techniques, I'm glad my dentist is not soviet or Slovenian
This is so weirdly cool.
thank you
