Yes, people who are around immigrants and find a social benefit tend to promote immigration, while those who are around immigrants and see a social detriment will be against immigration.

Not sure what point you are making though.

Because you (I suspect intentionally) misread my reply. The people most likely to be around immigrants in the first place overwhelming support immigration.

And not many of these.

No there's not many, but it does exist and when a country is as big as America, even minority groups are in the millions.

Sure, I didn't say that those people don't exist, I said that their perspective is bullshit. Again, if immigration was causing real societal harm, the people with more proximity to immigrants would be more affected and their views would change accordingly. Ergo, no such phenomenon exists and the people getting their panties in a bunch over immigration are bigots or buying bigoted rhetoric, plain and simple. There's no other valid perspective to take into account here; either a problem exists or it doesn't and in this case it quite clearly doesn't.

Immigration isn't a benefit by default. It can also be a problem for one person and not for another. I think the main issue though, is people in liberal states thinking that conservative ones operate the same way, and vice versa.

Immigration causing harm is also different than immigrants causing harm.

Yeah that's the thing: It fucking is. No economy says no to more labor, especially not an economy that can't sustain itself with native labor gestures at declining US birth rates. Japan and South Korea are what low/no immigration does and it's not pretty.

I think the main issue though, is people in liberal states thinking that conservative ones operate the same way, and vice versa.

That's a nice hypothesis, mind backing it up with literally anything?

Well I wasnt talking about for the benefit of the countries economy. Im talking about individuals experiences in their communities.

If you want your booming economy I'm sure you want as many immigrants as you can find to fill out all of our abusive work contracts. Good for you.
