- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Doomers are bad people
Just because you don’t agree with me and because you don’t see what I see doesn’t mean I’m wrong and it doesn’t mean I’m bad. Bad people call other people bad people because they don’t agree with them
Ok, let me ask you something: when is the last time you volunteered to do something for your local community/communities?
I help clean up parks. I get a little claw and a bag. It’s good exercise!
Well, that's very nice, but I'm talking about something that doesn't directly benefit you.
Cleaning up parks doesn’t benefit me…. The exercise comment was meant a joke, even if it is a beneficial result of the job. But I am not surprised that someone like you would reject every single thing I say just to get your dopamine. What do you do? Let me guess… Organizing… Soup kitchen… All of those things that are very clearly lies.
Right, so having cleaner parks doesn't benefit you — it just benefits who exactly?
Beyond that, no — I participate in food drives and charity runs. Admittedly I could do more for my local community — at this juncture all I can really provide are cheap ceramic bowls and honey from my bees.
The primary difference between us though is that I could do none of those things and it would still be better than doom posting and fomenting fear online. Your reactionary message shows me everything I need to know about you — you aren't actually interested in making the world a better place, you just want people to share in your misery.
Which brings me back to my first point. Doomers are bad people.
Food drives benefit you by having people on the streets that aren’t hungry and willing to rob you… So I guess you’re not any better than me.
Being a doomer is bad if you're stating theories as facts while giving no supporting evidence. For example:
I can't even agree or disagree with you because your comments are so shallow that they can't hold up to a discussion; ergo bad.
Honestly this is a good response because it is asking good questions.
Damn didn't know I was an LLM? Thanks for the heads up, good discussion
Well if you have the chance to vote I hope you at least take it
I vote every time. Even if I don’t like them. I vote for the closest thing to socialism or… the thing that means fascism won’t win.
