So now you are moving the goal post. You said provide one person. I provided much more than that.

You dismiss opinion!? That is literally what politics are including everything you and I have said.

You want solid factual information the Mexican Government is corrupt?

https://kkc.com/corruption-index/corruption-in-mexico/

https://www.ganintegrity.com/country-profiles/mexico/

Of course it doesn't matter because you don't seem care about facts or history

I have already made all my points, none of which you have been able to dispute. Admitting to militarization of police but then ignoring their abuses of power amounts to some serious bootlicking.

https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2022/09/mexico-militarizing-public-security-human-rights-violations-impunity/

You are just another fascist enabler in denial. That is fine, so is everyone else hence why we live in a fascist world.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

So now you are moving the goal post.

I am? Or are you? Where is the proof of fascism? All I see you doing is pointing out the corruption, like that's the end-all be-all hallmark of fascism. That's ONE sign, but I've already pointed out 13 other signs that don't quite align with your narrative.

https://kkc.com/corruption-index/corruption-in-mexico/

https://www.ganintegrity.com/country-profiles/mexico/

Of course it doesn’t matter because you don’t seem care about facts or history

We all know this was a very corrupt country, and it still is in other ways. But that's not the point. I want the details of our current administration because I'm talking about how the country is changing now and because you're accusing it of fascism. Are you really saying our ex-presidents, Vicente Fox and Peña Nieto, are to blame for what's happening now?

Even pointing out the alleged corruption by AMLO would've been enough. That would be the guy who ended the life-long tenure for ex-presidents, including himself, once out of office. The guy who ended funding for many agencies that were leaking funds. That sounds very anti-corruption. That's the same man who said he wouldn't ever attempt to run a second term out of respect for the Constitution. That sounds very unfascist. So where are the violations? Sheinbaum is, for all intents and purposes, following his example and has come forward stating so.

I have already made all my points

You've made very shitty points. I've been easily able to dispute all of them.

ignoring their abuses of power

That's exactly what I'm asking you to prove. Where are they?? lol

https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2022/09/mexico-militarizing-public-security-human-rights-violations-impunity/

will lead to more human rights violations

9 September 2022

Again, where are they?? This is from three years ago. I'm waiting on this to materialize.

You are just another fascist enabler in denial.

Oh, now I'm the fascist. Right, right.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world -1 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

You definitely moved the goalpost.

You don't even understand fascism, please stop pretending.

We all know Mexico was very corrupt and continues to be very corrupt. Two-thirds of your countrymen agree. Your opinions make you an outlier.

You have not provided any evidence or even a good train of logic other than "things are better now" which is objectively false. Things are very bad which you deny because you have bought into propaganda around a few watered down reforms and a popular "hope" President.

This is bread and circus for you. You are the definition of a cheap date. Impressed with a few words and no real action.

https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2025/country-chapters/mexico

Over half the people detained report being physically abused. You literally blow the US out of the water. The more I read the more it looks like you live in a much worse fascist state than the US. I thought we were bad.

100,000 people disappeared!? You would make any fascist blush with this shit.

38 percent of people confessed to a crime after being beaten!? Oh God you are seriously fucked up for denying this.

One of the highest rates of income inequality in the motherfucking world which is one of the biggest predictors for fascism btw.

Yeah, you are a fascist enabler in denial no question about it.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

You're so ridiculous that you've now resorted to pure personal attacks. And you're still pointing at random things and calling it fascism. Do you know what fascism is? I'm still waiting for the concrete evidence of this.

Two-thirds of your countrymen agree. Your opinions make you an outlier.

Didn't I just say that it is in other ways that are not fascist? 🤣

You have not provided any evidence or even a good train of logic other than “things are better now” which is objectively false

I gave you 14 points outlining how things are better and you took that and wiped your ass with it. Then you said it was all hearsay and propaganda. Right.

Impressed with a few words and no real action.

So I take it you live here too? You know what it's like from day to day? Because you speak as if you do rather than looking through a warped pinhole on the internet, only looking at what you find convenient.

Let's break it down for you--yet again. You keep pointing at random things and pretending it's part of the administration.

Over half the people detained report being physically abused.

By local police seeking bribes. The corrupt police you talk about is not exactly coordinated by the state. This is not fascism--it's mere corruption.

100,000 people disappeared!?

By cartels. Not the government.

38 percent of people confessed to a crime after being beaten

By the local police--not the government itself. The government doesn't make this happen by law or decree or what have you.

One of the highest rates of income inequality in the motherfucking world

By the private sector. Still not the government.

You sound like an arrogant ass who doesn't know what you're talking about.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world -1 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

Oh look who has their feathers in a bunch, sorry not sorry for calling you out.

We both know you know jack shit about fascism, so please do everyone a favor and just stop talking about it. You are the definition of clueless.

You gave 14 points of bullshit propaganda. As I said from the start.

I have family from Mexico and they have backed up everything I said. Antonio thinks you are full of shit.

You keep pretending this administration is different!? Are they going to demilitarize the police? You are so naive it hurts. I will happily eat my words if I am wrong. Here is the rub though, I am not.

I don't need to apologize for Mexico. I don't need to apologize for the US. They are both fucked. Your nationalist pride is the perfect example of what fascism is. Denial of the truth.

Now the state is not even responsible for the police!? You are literally running with the goal post now. Pathetic.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Feathers in a bunch? Please, you've been nothing but disrespectful.

Tell "Antonio" he's also full of shit.

You keep pretending this administration is different

I'm not pretending when I see the positive changes happening. Lol

But fine, you want to convince me otherwise? Prove that we live with an oppressive government and that our lives are directly affected by this.

Sent to you from our free public wifi, btw. Brand spanking new.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world -1 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

Typical right winger talking point, starts whining about respect when they have no answers.

I will not disrespect my son-in-law the way you disrespect everyone who has been used and abused by Mexico. His family home had dirt floors.

The fact that a lot of Mexico's problems come directly from the US is also no surprise. Two nations fucking over their citizens in the name of fascism.

You know why the US didn't turn Mexico into US States after the Mexican American war right? Yeah, I didn't think you actually paid attention to history let alone what is currently happening.

No clue about history or the future but bold enough to demand the proof right in front of their eyes. Fascist apologist class traitor, but you got free Internets! It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Right wing? 😂 Even our right wing is far more leftist than your best left wing. Stop pulling shit out of your ass simply because I disagree with you and you can't prove your point. Morena is leftist, btw. Ask "Antonio" to confirm that for you.

I will not disrespect my son-in-law the way you disrespect everyone who has been used and abused by Mexico. His family home had dirt floors.

Oh, but it's ok to disrespect me over a disagreement. Hey, guess what, I also had dirt floors. Maybe he can also tell us how much he's been repressed by Claudia Sheinbaum and AMLO. Go ahead. Copy and paste his response in Spanish if you want.

Yeah, I didn’t think you actually paid attention to history let alone what is currently happening.

I studied both US and Mexican history in school, dumb dumb. I attended school in both countries. I can definitely say Mexican K-12 is far more rigorous when it comes to history, science, geography, and math. Don't come at me with your half-baked education.

The fact that a lot of Mexico’s problems come directly from the US is also no surprise.

No shit. Stop selling weapons to the cartels.

Two nations fucking over their citizens in the name of fascism.

Explain why and how. You've yet to do that. I'm waiting.

Fascist apologist class traitor, but you got free Internets! It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

Yeah, and free healthcare, a free college education, retiree benefits, free pet healthcare, government subsidies for utilities, abortion & LGBT+ rights, a transparent voting system, and more. Sounds pretty damn socialist to me. It's no surprise we always rank high on the global happiness index. And look at that, we're even ranking higher than before, while the US is taking a nosedive, and the rest are struggling to stay in their place.

Do me a favor and stop projecting your doom & gloom onto everyone else. We're not the ones with a kleptocracy and a wannabe dictator who's colluding with Russia.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world -1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

No surprise, a conservative in denial. You really believe Mexico suddenly changed and is not a dystopia of corruption, income inequality, and cartel fiefdoms. This is exactly what the US will be looking like soon.

But, hey I get it. Ignore reality because your life is pretty okay, maybe even good. I got mine and oh look at this tasty propaganda that will make me feel like there is change for the better.

You think this is some game, but it is just you in denial this whole time. First, that the world isn't already fascist. It is.

Second, that your country is not also into fascism. It is.

Your counterpoint is we elected a leftist!? The reality is this leftist is a prop so the wealthy can go on denying your countrymen healthcare, taking bribes from the cartels, and turning your people against each other.

It is okay that you don't get it.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

a conservative in denial

You think this is some game

I'm not here for your bullshit. You're the one playing games.

Want to settle this? Find me a single article online written by a credible source that describes unequivocally how Mexico is a fascist state. Go ahead, I'll wait.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world -1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

I already proved it, you just keep denying it. As I said it is okay if your country is not what you think it is.

I suppose most people would not agree the US is fascist. It is and has been ever since corporations took hold. It was always proto-fascists though. They just didn't invent a word for it yet.

Mussolini said fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. People seem to link it Nazism, but in reality it is not about that.

You see the Nazi modeled their final solution after what the US had done to the Native Americans. They admired the fascist state the US had created and how they murdered the Native Americans en masse.

To top it off a bunch of wealthy US people were bankrolling the Nazi. US business was even helping them. IBM used their computing power to number the Jews for extermination.

Of course the US went on to spread fascism all over the world. They called it "Democracy" but it is just authoritarianism coupled with unchecked capitalism using the wealthy's favorite proxy, the corporation.

I get why you get all defensive. I am clearly not going to convince you that your country is fascist, but it definitely is. Most people will disagree with me, but they are wrong.

Fascism, as I pointed out, is when authoritarianism meets corporations. This unchecked capitalism brings out the worst of people. It produces billionaires and soon to be the first trillionaire.

It doesn't have to be wrapped up in Nazism, it has many flavors like fascism lite with the first women president who is here to change things aka maintain the stays quo for the wealthy.

Until this is reigned in we are all living in a fascist world controlled by government infested with corporations directed by the wealthy. The is no democracy just more breads and circuses for you. And boy do you eat it up!

Trust me, I come from a very fascist society. I can sense this stuff a mile away. The Mexican people are wonderful, but their government is beyond corrupt.

I hope you prove me wrong and everything magically changes from this point on for Mexico because their track record is looking bleak. The statistics don't lie.

I have no doubt the US will also pull Mexico down as it already has and will continue to. Once you realize the truth it sets you free. You no longer wonder why you have militarized police or why people disappear. It is the corruption inherent in the system.

For me it brings a certain amount of peace. I am no longer gaslight by everyone all around me. It begins to make sense. Then I can start working on real solutions.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Blah blah blah. I don't see any external links.

Good luck with your search, I'll be waiting.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 0 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I said all I have to say. Thank you.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 0 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Good for you. I got my list of sources describing fascism in the USA, btw. Let me know when you're ready to swap.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 0 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Uh the USA is like the original fascist nation, we spread it all over the world including Mexico. You think you are going to teach me something when I just explained the USA is worse than the Nazi!?

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 0 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Just letting you know that when things are true, credible people and experts write about them. However, you could seriously use a refresher on what fascism is, so maybe you'll learn something after all, if you're willing.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 0 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I already explained most people won't agree. It is okay, I don't need your approval. I define fascism as corporatism. I think I will take Mussolini's word over yours considering that is exactly how the US and Mexico are really run.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 0 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I define fascism as corporatism

And I don't need your shitty, inconsistent definitions while being told that I don't know things. As I said, I'm not here for your bullshit.

This goes beyond the layman's opinion of you or me. If I can find sources talking about fascism in whatever form it presents itself in any other nation, there surely must be some for Mexico. Let's see it, then. Prove your case.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 0 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I already explained my case. Like I care what a bootlicking loser thinks.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world -1 points 6 hours ago

Great, then take your L.
