Thats the thing, our cops tend to be pretty solid about community oriented stuff. We're also a wealthy vacation town (think like the hamptons) which tends to help.
If i lived in a community where that was not the case, I would have tried dealt with this through other means. Like I said, the moment I moved this outside, a beat cop happened by and immediately recognized a situation and moved to help, not threaten with violence or arrest.
The issue here was the dispatcher, who, to be fair, was a gal who I went to school with, and was... not the best critical thinker.
