Look up "John Harvey Kellogg circumcision". A lot of the US obsession with cutting up baby penisses is because of him and his obsession with preventing boys from masturbating.
That dude was a freak
On Wikipedia, his supposed instigation and popularization of circumcision is listed as a common misconception. It still looks like he supported the practice at some point though
Wasn't that why he invented corn flakes too?
