It’s cool to be stupid and promote anti intellectualism in the US
And unfortunately, many Americans don’t ever think or question anything. It just remained this way.
That was before income inequality and oligarchy won
This meme isn’t always true though. There’s plenty of men who are terrible people from abusers to narcissists to criminals who have no trouble getting laid. It might be increasing that they are not from higher education and knowledge among women… but it’s definitely not broadly applicable to all sexists, not even close.
I thought in America all the CEOs are geniuses and put on pedestals because they have money? You know, having money makes one an infallible genius.
Dodge v Ford introduced the framework that made this country stray so far from greatness (on the topic of CEOs and corporations).
I get it. It is convenient for following businesses and groups. It just was not worth it for me personally and I hate supporting Zuck and his evil leadership team. It also was impacting me mentally just digesting the crap that kept being thrown on my feed.
I am surprised you still use Facebook. I got off of it because I loathed how it went from a place to interact with friends to ads, rage bait and political posts constantly. It is one of the first tech products to undergo enshittification in my opinion. I read Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams. It added some more reasons for me to hate Zuckerberg and company but reaffirmed what I already felt simultaneously.
Same deal with lawyers that go into public interest. It pays super low, compared to corporate and similar that has money to throw at their employees.
Even worse, they are literally all like this among the tech companies. They are all cancerous vermin.
