It takes 5 blue Jay's and a handful of smaller birds only a few hours to eat 4 cups of bird seed and a small pile of assorted nuts. (lemmy.world)

I put the feeders up to invite the songbirds, Mr Blue Jay. I'm not sure if anyone's told you, but your song sucks and you eat too much.

Sure are nice to look at though....

That IS a blue jay. In fact, West of the Rockies it's the only blue jay.

The town next to mine is Blue Jay, CA. One of the first things anyone will tell you is that there’s no blue jays in Blue Jay, preferably said while you’re looking at the multitude of blue-colored jays. “Well, then, what are those?” you’ll say. “Steller’s jays.” And then you’ll never hear that name again.
