In my lifetime: Clinton and Obama both did a better job than Biden in their first terms. And Reagan and the Bushes all had a far greater impact on the world in their first terms - for good or (mostly) ill - than Biden did. Even Carter, arguably, did a better job than Biden as President, and certainly did far more for the world as a former President than Biden ever will. I have to go back to Ford and the fall of Saigon to find a President I can compare Biden favorably to.
Biden accomplished nothing.
His big signature bill was a greenwashing giveaway to developers - and even though it was passed in 2021, almost none of that money was spent on development before Trump took power and clawed it back, and how fucking incompetent does a President have to be to fail to spend money?
His two main foreign policy "achievements" were giving Afghanistan back to the Taliban and writing Israel a blank check for Gaza.
His immigration policy was morally correct but so badly managed it convinced half of America the Great Replacement was real.
His policy on COVID was to pretend vaccines fixed everything and the economy was fine. (Spoiler: it fucking wasn't.)
Biden has no legacy. He's accomplished nothing. At best, he's going to be remembered as a footnote in history - the first incumbent President to withdraw from his own re-election campaign. At worst, he'll be remembered as our Paul von Hindenberg - the last President of the Weimar Republic, whose weakness and incompetence brought an end to democracy in Germany.
Completely disagree. No surprise billing was a massive improvement to the aca. The bill was huge which helped to get the economy starting to recover from trump1 while putting the us on a more environmental focused footing which we should have had going for years and our infrastructure is way been neglected and we could use a few more bills like that. I mean it did extend aca subsidies and brought in prescription drug price negotiation with medicare. Then you have what he did for loan forgiveness which considering he could have given up at any point at least he kept going and got it to where payment is based on income and eventually forgiven. Then there is the isp and bank fees. Banning non competes. There was even something that I forget that came up in a discussion here and im like. Man I can't even keep track of all that they got done. Yeah no president has had his stuff reversed as much as him but that is not his fault. Its laughable and I think disengenous to even mention any republican presidents. Greater ill impact? thats not a reason to raise their ranking. carter did not really get as much done. I mean given the energy crises was a global thing he was in a tight space and he was not as ok as cheating with reagan. Ending afghanistan was huge and thinking the taliban would not take power again is just naive. We were not gonna regime change and forever war may be appealing to some but no I. He did damn great with covid so not sure what your issue is there. As far as isreal it was way better when we were trying to deescalate, limit israeli weapons, and provide humanitarian aid over there as opposed to eliminating all restrictions on military aid and openly encouraging colonialism like what happened like days after trump took office. Its such a pipe dream to think any other president would handle isreal in a different manner that would not be worse (like we have now). Sorry but I get you have your perspective but I lived through all these presidents and again biden impressed me for what gone done given the situation. I mean clinton had it downright easy and again obama wasted his first term. Don't get me wrong its because of obamas terms that biden came out swinging. I really don't get other peoples perspectives like this. You and me seem to see and experience things differently.
I can’t read this huge wall of text.
Format your shit my guy.
