Today's game is some more Max Payne 2. I did the escort mission where you guide Vinnie around to safety, and man, i love this game but also fuck this mission. There's like no way to heal him (at least that i know) so near the end he's a glass cannon. But the decorative kind of cannon.
On the upside i was dorking around with the free cam and posed it to look kind of like Max was sitting on the couch watching TV with Vinnie. Even Max needs a break every once and a while. I did it by positioning the free cam at an angle and jumping backwards while spamming the screenshot button. It came out looking better than i thought.
The criminals you have to escort down the street i ended up retrying a few times to keep them alive. I know they turn on you, but still, i'd like to try and keep them alive for just a little bit longer. It's like this game's version of the Halo marines for me, if the Halo marines peddled drugs and lived in New York.
Before i stopped playing, i took the free cam outside the fun house. It has quite a bit going on for something i don't think we really see. Like all the signs and even the funhouse next door (that ironically has fake fire covering it). I wonder if they initially had really early plans to let the player out here at least a little bit? An amusement park section would have been kind of fun to play on. Then again, it might stand out despite the Funhouse.
I only really start to regret it towards the end lol. The fun house i enjoy though. I think my favorite would have to be the final level though. That boss fight was fun for me to figure out my first playthrough.
