There are lots of reasons for a proper remake:

  • Better voice acting for most NPCs
  • Better diagetic sound (footsteps and doors are a particular area for improvement)
  • Better graphical presentation (dynamic lights, more polygons, improved assets and environment, less need for strange corridors to hide loading)
  • Nicer keybindings (no more right square bracket to use the sniper scope)
  • Improved combat AI
  • Improved world simulation (crowds, object interaction, hacking
  • A chance to adjust skills and augmentations that could be more useful in the original
