I've never wanted to be wrong about shit more than in the last couple months, but it's been depressing as fuck lately how many people can't see what coming.
They legit think "raising awareness" and peaceful protests are going to fix anything.
Protesting against trump in Cali or Chicago won't accomplish anything but putting a target on your back.
Citizens need to be protesting their governors for not fighting back against federal overreach, not clapping for do-nothing PR stunts or social media posts.
But no one even knows the basics of how our government is supposed to work, so they have zero clue who is even supposed to be doing what or what they could be doing right now.
It's just learned helplessness all over
Edit:
To clarify, we literally fought and won a civil war over federal over-reach in this exact same usage.
The south wanted a strong fed that would raid and deport minorities from Northern states.
The Fed sided with the North instead of complying with the South.
This time the Fed sided with the south, but for some reason everyone in the North keeps saying that's the way it is and we have to obey the Fed no matter what.
These days it's more urban/rural than North/south. But the point remains.
People don't understand history, so they can't understand today.
States still have power, it's just most governors care more about protecting the status quo and billionaires money than protecting citizens.
State law enforcement can 100% arrest, detain, sentence, and improsin federal workers, even the military.
Hell, think of all the states that have legal weed, even though it's federal illegal. They don't even question the hypocrisy in their thoughts, just willfully ignorant and angry at anyone that mentions their ignorance
