Fuck spez, Apollo was legendary, the api purge was when I quit Reddit.

Same, though I was a connect user. To think they could have made everyone way less angry if they just had an app that isn't dogshit 😅

I miss RiF. The jerboa app is a godsend for me on here and I will never go back to Reddit ever again...
That’s impossible, one of the core features of Apollo was that it was lightweight, no ads. Public for profit companies are unable to do that.
I mean even ignoring ads, the ui for the official reddit app is an abject dumpster fire, and lacks core functionality like moderation tools
As much as I loath advertising, the ads really weren't the biggest issue with the official app 😅. The nonsensical tangled-web-of-spaghetti layout, dogshit ux, and inability to provide core functionality needed by some of its most vital users were
