One of mine used to do exactly the same, but I've learned that it's never an emergency so I don't have to get all worried and go check it out.
So now she yells at me from the next room and after a bit of back and forth meowing and me calling for her, she comes to me doing that adorable trotting run and gets the strokes and scritches and attention she was after to begin with ๐๐ฅฐ
