Welcome to c/WouldYouRather, where we present you with the toughest, most ridiculous choices you never knew you had to make! Would you rather have a third arm that's only useful for picking your nose, or be able to talk to animals but only if they're wearing hats? Yeah, it's that kind of vibe. Come for the absurdity, stay because you've clearly got nothing better to do with your life.

French fries average 4-5 Calories each. If you eat 138 french fries a day at $2 each, that comes to $275 a day at a health cost of 621 Calories. Do that every day and you would be making $100,375 a year, just to eat what amounts to 2 medium fries from Mcdonalds everyday.

Yeah but imagine how you'd look if you did 100 pushups a day. You'd be making ~~$365k~~ $36.5k a year. I haven't done pushups in a while but I think throughout the day I could fit 100 in.

Edit: whoops. Still not bad though.

What's to say you can't spend your free time working out after you spend your 10 min a day "working" on french fries.

Yeah the calorie budget for a man actually getting in an hour of exercise a day is 3000 kcals, fries are definitely the smart option even for healthy people.

Roll that back, son. 100 × 365 is 365 hundred, not 365 thousand.

Right thanks. Gotta drink some coffee before doing math.

The long term trick is find who sells fried with the most short broken pieces, then buy multiple and sort out the long ones to give/throw away.

Or make your own fries out of those tiny red potato's.

[–] Phil_in_here@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Now we've got a philosophical debate about the minimum dimensions for fried potatoes to constitute a fry on our hands!

A hashbrown is just a matrix of tiny interwoven fries.

Just go to Steak n Shake for those skinny fries.
