Comic panels taken out of comics so we can make fun of them!! We love the golden age stuff!

Rules:

  1. Comics must come from actual comic books. No AI or Photoshops.

  2. Single panels are preferred.

  3. Comics should be unintentionally funny. Spider-man cracking wise is not what this is about.

  4. Don't be a dick.

  5. I can't believe I've had to add this... NO RACISM.

“Dick” is archaic American slang for “the truth.” Although as another commenter said, there is an element of “they knew” here, because “dick” meant “penis” before the more innocuous usage came around.

I’m tossing my vote in for “solid dick” which meant “hard truth “ or straight talk.
I feel like this explains the white gap to the right of the text line

I haven't found evidence of this, other than the obviously edited Marvel comics panel, let alone this one.

What? You think people just go on the internet and tell lies?

Maybe it just means "can you take Richard?".
