A way to see 3D images without special screens or glasses. Just cross your eyes to overlap the two images.

Posting on Crossview

This is a community for posting or discussing 3D images using the crossview technique. There are other communities for viewing 3D on your screen including the Parallel View technique, one for Wigglegrams and also one for Anaglyph 3D using red/blue glasses.

Keep it fun.

A sample from the 4 mirror beam splitter device. I designed it with a fixed convergence angle which makes it relatively usable for portraits. At least for use in a DSLR, I thought maybe the reach should be enough to include one to several people, a foreground and several levels of background. So I set the angle to allow shoulders up close.

But I'm actually working on a way to adjust the convergence spot. I want to be able to have the narrowest central line and to have the same stuff on both sides so I don't need to post process much. As is, you either get the exact same stuff on both images or you get a little more on the outside or on the inside. It depends on what side of the convergence spot the stuff is located. But its too much to ask, I end up cropping every time. Adjustment is the way to go.
