6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

6 hostages’ bodies were rescued by IDF. Signs show they were killed in the past week by Hammas in a tunnel.
What makes you say it's Hamas that killed them? The pattern is usually the IDF killing them, with the exception of the one incident where the IDF killed a hostage taker's family.
So we can reasonably assume they were alive until the IDF ramped things up in both Gaza and the West Bank.

The Nazis didn't have prisoner release on the negotiating table. I'm not saying Hamas' terms were right, but the IDF hardly exhausted all options, or even most options, before they went "oh boy here I go killing again".
Also, the IDF previously killed hostages that were topless waiving white, such is their bloodlust.
What type of bs comment is this. We can also safely assume they had a very happy life until hammas decided to kidnap them on OCT 7.
Did hammas expect IDF to not come and take back kidnapped citizens? Was hammas expecting Israel to just sit aside and look while 250 of its people were brutally kidnapped?
Absolutely. However they were kept alive until recently. What happened recently? Israel stepped up its assault. This is a strong correlation.
Does the IDF expect Hamas to just hand over hostages when they come in? If Israel were sincere about their desire to rescue hostages they would be acting differently.
To summarize: they had a happy life until a terrorist group took them during a massacre.
Then they lived a short horrible life in the hands of their takers, while there is a war outside where one side claim to fight to liberate them without actually negociating their release and the other claims to use them as hostages while not really negociating their release either.
And somewhat, they end up dead because let's be real: neither side gave a f*ck about them.

I mean I'd just draw back to three things:

Hamas did and still agree to a biden resolution.
What happen after? Everyday israel kills a range goes from 15 to 150. Assassinate two of the main negotiator for hamas. Continue depriving civilian in gaza ( basically children and women) from basic life needed support ( limited food and medicine - limited access to water ) and ask them to move from corner to another safe place to bomb them again in the save place.

This body now gets the funeral it deserves.
Not trying to be pedantic, but you recover the body once someone is dead. Rescue specifically means that you're trying to get to a person before further injury or death can occur. Recovering someone's remains is done almost purely out of respect for our need for burials and closure. It's a really solomn and respectful thing that's not to be taken lightly, so recover is absolutely the right word to use here.

But in a lot of religions (islam comes to mind for example) a proper burial is needed to advance to heaven.
So yes, you're rescuing them and their soul.
You can also say that you rescued their bodies from destruction / defiling if you think that the bodies would have been defiled
