Eh, let's not let Nixon off the hook that easily. The major economic issues can be traced back to 1971, which would his presidency. Also Tricky Dick is the one who established all the draconian drug policies fueled by racism which Reagan pushed harder.

I would argue that Nixon's pardon made future politicians a lot bolder with their crimes.

... But yeah, Reagan put everything in overdrive.

From Civil War reconstruction to Nixon and Trump, the US has never once actually punished corrupt or traitorous leaders.
