It wasn't even a matter of impulsiveness, it was a matter of sheer ignorance.

Look at the Google searches that followed the Brexit vote:

I mean that's what impulsive means, acting without forethought. Many people voted based on propaganda and emotion instilled into them by parties willing to take advantage of them, without considering what they're even voting for.

Tbh the entire Brexit was a shit show because the referendum wasn't even meant to be binding but for the purposes of this talk I'm treating it as if ot was.
