MODERATORS
Bill is a class act. One of the best living comedians.
I enjoy his talk show appearances, but his stand up is needlessly aggressive.
He's from the Boston area. We are all needlessly aggressive.
Did you see the clips of him roasting the Philadelphia crowd for booing the openers for whatever show that was?
Sometimes a little aggression works.
"Your greatest hero [Rocky] is a fictional character!"
I haven't seen them, but I certainly agree aggression can be funny, when used appropriately.
His most recent one was making fun of that very fact about himself. I think its safe to say hes aware.
It's been great to see him explore why he's been that way. We need more men his age publicly discussing working through their trauma.
Even that, taken at face value, was aggressive towards his wife. I'm already familiar with his angry on stage persona, but the person I was watching it with (first time viewer) left the room.
In an interview situation he is much less angry, but also sharper and funnier.
I dont think you can say how his wife feels about it, thats sort of up to her.
I said he was aggressive. I didn't speculate how his wife feels.
Likely she is very familiar with his act and doesn’t give a shit (the money probably helps a lot).
I like how you did the thing where you tell me how she feels about it again, right after saying you weren't doing that.
I speculated about her feelings, once, because they were added to the conversation.
There's no gotcha here. Just bad comprehension.
Probably right!
