The military are actually trained though. There's no point trying to train these guys they are military rejects.

The US military versus these guys would be more farcical than anything else.

Why not? Trump just deployed them to LA and got away with it. He could do it again. The courts have proven about a dozen times since the election that they will not hold him accountable for blatant constitutional violations. Half of congress is on his side so they will never hold him accountable either. There's nobody left to stop him from doing whatever he wants.

not if the protesters are declared foreign agents/a civil war is declared.

look at the Syrian, Sudanese and Egyptian revolutions
