Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

See the thing is... If we have agreed to host them because they are applying for asylum, and we won't allow them to work, then how ... do these people see them sleeping and eating? Are they going to take them in and feed them?
Not advocating for it, but I suspect in the minds of its proponents the other half of this initiatives is refusal to accept any asylum seekers into the country at all.
Either that or they wish asylum seekers to starve to death so they don't come.

They don't. These people think that we shouldn't accept any asylum seekers at all and should immediately reject all of the ones currently applying
