What are these comments? You people are vile.

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Don't pretend you wouldn't be happy if Trump got a slow painful thing happening to him.

I'd take up celebratory drinking for one day

Either post on reddit and get a mix of Nazis and Russian bots.

Or post on Lemmy and get dumb fucks that idolize Russia or China and don't even understand what communism is they just know it's "cool" to be against capitalism.

Also never vote, but simultaneously blame the Democrats for everything.

[–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org 33 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Tbf it is pretty cool to be against capitalism.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 35 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Even cooler to do it properly though rather than trying to proxy it by loving China or Russia

[–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org 18 points 20 hours ago

Obviously. Even better: there shouldn't be any states nor governments. So simping for imperialist shit holes like China or Russia is just stoopid.

[–] Paddzr@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Yeah what's up with that? We now cool with China? What?

Don't buy Tesla, but buy slave made cars from BYD! WHO LITERALLY RUNS SLAVE CAMPS OUTSIDE OF CHINA.

What. The. Fuck. Internet.

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

I've seen people saying they don't want to buy a Quest VR headset because Facebook supported the Uyghur genocide (reasonable) and then name PICO as an alternative despite it being owned by ByteDance which is tied to the Chinese government.

Yeah, people don't think. They just repeat the popular thing.

[–] Paddzr@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

The bots and won. That's the reality. So much infighting and hatred.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Please cite a source. As far as I've heard, despite several investigations by Congress, there has never been any evidence that Byte dance has any ties to the Chinese government. The only premise they could come up with the try to separate TikTok was that they are a Chinese company and subject to the totalitarian rule of China's government.

China has it that the "the people" need to have ownership with any company above 300.

"The people" meaning the the oppressive piece of shit CCP.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah that's a tie to the Chinese government. Chinese company law mandates a representative on the board of every company with more than 300 employees. That political officer is the direct connection been the company and the party.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world -1 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

This is completely false. As well as a gross mischaracterization of the law you are referencing.

You should really learn what the law actually is before you start commenting like this. You are combining 1980's Chinese business law with the 2024 employment law that was just passed in China. The "representative of the people" is literally a board member elected by the employees of the company to represent them. An american equivalent would be if the government ordered companies of similar size to put a union rep on the board of directors of that company.

https://www.pwc.de/en/international-markets/german-business-groups/china-business-group/how-does-an-employee-director-fit-into-the-corporate-governance-of-a-chinese-company.html

I don't know how you could possibly count this as a bad thing.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 0 points 16 hours ago

I doubt one normal person is saying both those things.

[–] OmegaLemmy@discuss.online -2 points 11 hours ago

Not as vile as Biden himself
