'Traditional' here means 'Physical', as in artworks which are NON-DIGITAL in nature.
What's allowed: Acrylic, Pastel, Encaustic, Gouache, Oil and Watercolor Paintings; Ink Illustrations; Manga Panels; Pencil and Charcoal sketches; Collages; Etchings; Lithographs; Wood Prints; Pottery; Ceramics; Metal, Wire and paper sculptures; Tapestry; weaving; Qulting; Wood carvings, Armor Crafting and more.
What's not allowed: Digital art (anything made with Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, Blender, GIMP or other art programs) or AI art (anything made with Stable Diffusion, Midjourney or other models)

The photo of this one is a bit blurry though, which is a shame as I'm sure there's some lovely detail in there :)
Does Lemmy have trouble with photos? I have no idea why this upload came out so blurry.
I'm not sure to be honest - I've not noticed it myself through either the feddit.uk website or Jerboa (Android Lemmy App) - though I've generally only uploaded a few pictures of cats, rather than an artwork people might want to zoom into.
It's also possible some of the lemmy instances might compress images more than others, or some of the other mobile phone apps may do something differently. It does seem to convert things to webp, so some conversion is definitely happening in there.
