This is the strategy that the obscenely wealthy have used since the dawn of time.

Manipulate the peasants to blame each other, instead of us. Throw them some bones to make us appear concerned, altruistic, and benevolent. The reason Roman emperors gave the plebes free bread every day, and held the "Games" to keep them from rioting.

Today, it's American Idol, sports, reality TV, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
