Canada doesn't have to be dependent on the US either. It's about convenience. It's always been easier to do business with them, because they're so close. But that's simply not the case anymore. We need to find more reliable trade partners.
Shifting trade partnerships take many years, we need to buy time with Trump and go back to manufacturing products
It's not a quick or easy task to disentangle decades of integration.
While that work is in progress, we still need to do what we can to limit the damage tRump's random flailing does to our country.
