What does clicking on the Learn more page show? Maybe, it has some info on this.
Oh ya, I should have added that this link isn't actually a link... No help whatsoever. Edit to add I am not sure of this pop up is from the app or not, but I think it is from the OS.
I just tested an app called SMS and backup and it was able to perform a local backup on android 15. Could be grapheneOS issue.

Wow, thanks! I did not think about a reverse image search. I followed the instructions in that thread, and specifically selecting the three dots and allowing restricted access worked. What I was finding from a web search was from earlier in 2024, or even older. Obviously I was not using the best search techniques. Much appreciated!
