Hell yeah, that's pretty awesome. Listened to the first two so far. First one I loved and had me thinking that it's very Arch Enemy like. And then the second one is a completely different style and vibe, so it sounds like this guy has an interesting variety going on. I'll definitely keep making my way through these links and probably add some of this to my rotation. Thanks!
He's gone from making YouTube instructional videos to lead guitarist of Five Finger Death Punch. If you've heard them in the last couple years you've heard Andy James before and didn't know it lol.
I've definitely heard of Five Finger Death Punch and I've very likely heard their stuff but its not a band that's ever been in my personal rotation of music. Maybe I should give them a try.
I think their lyrics are pretty generic most of the time but I don't mind listening to them here and there. It's something that works well as background noise for me when I'm working on something else and not paying much attention to the lyrics anyway lol.
Just gave one of their tracks a listen to. Definitely big mid / late 2000s vibes and nostalgia for me. The kind of stuff that would've been playing on a friday or saturday night along with Slipknot and Drowning Pool and SOAD and all that stuff at the alternative club I used to haunt. I probably actually heard them in those days as well.
