Honestly it's a hell of a photo.
It's bullshit, just like everything about him.
People that were there and saw the whole thing saw him cower and be confused like a senile imbecile.
This photo is taken well after all the bullshit passed.
But people assume he just jumped up immediately and was posing, when in reality he first shat his diper.
Propaganda is a hell of a drug.
Wild. I honestly didn’t know that was the case. Because it was unsuccessful, I kinda just quit caring and didn’t bother to look into it more. I saw his stupid pose, and thought “better luck next time”.
Figures though.
Most people don't know, they think he just stood there taking the bullet like Rambo. The truth is that he acted like a 90 year with dementia, then later was posing....
I watched it too, I'm not saying it covers all of the context just that as a piece of political media it's very effective. The blood, the fist, and the flag in the background are the sort of thing you'd see in an arranged photo.
I can hate him and still recognize that.
Yeah, I hate it, but sometimes the planets really do align and shit just happens. It doesn't have to be this grand conspiracy, there's photographers everywhere all the time, and sometimes they happen to catch a once in a generation picture. I can't blame the dude for keeping it, but I think I would've thought long and hard and deleted it. "Oops, sorry, guess I forgot to take the pictures when all the shit went down".
It's a painting?!
A painting of the photo, like you'd order on etsy for a portrait of your dog.

Ignore everyone else. It's a an iconic photo and will be remembered in American history forever no matter how much people in this thread cry about it.
Accidental renaissance.
