No one, Democrats or Republicans, challenge him because they support his actions. Despite all the bullshit rhetoric Democrats have tried nothing and are all out of ideas.
Two impeachments would disagree. They teed the republicans up to cut the trump hemorrhoid off, but they (republicans) were too chickenshit.
That said, they need to grow some balls and start swinging. It takes more than Bernie, AOC and a few other loud progressives to start cracking the fortress of shameless greed republicans have been building over the past 40 years.
The GOP, servants of the billionaire funded Heritage Foundation, thought they could control the useful idiot, like they did Reagan, and Bush Jr.
They didn't consider how crazy a full blown delusional, demented malignant narcissist with an army of cultists could be. The fact that they haven't nullified him shows he's still useful. For now.
Two dog and pony shows...
Everything they do is performative with no substance
No. Appointing Garland as AG means that democrats were never interested in the slightest in holding that shit accountable.
Even the corporate Democrats don't support this. It's not good for the slow and steady accumulation of wealth without risk of discord. Their problem is that they're the champions of the status quo. And when your political goal is for nothing to change, your entire political philosophy and toolbox is based around finding reasons not to do anything.
So now, even when the status quo is being obliterated and it should be the one time these people have value, their instincts are to just go through the same motions they always do, making ineffectual gestures, making excuses for inaction, and avoiding confrontation with their colleagues so they can all find a way that their people (not their political sides, their respective wealthy peers) can profit together.
