The great thing about comic book and videogame "inspired" movies if they come pre-written. This doesn't sound like they were ever serious about making a series off the IP, I suspect a gacha game will be released from Amazon games.
That's also why they always suck. Storytelling in a video game works a lot differently than in film. For example you can skip a lot of exposition since the player already embodies the main character rather than having to build them up. Also a lot of game protagonists work the best as an empty shell into which the players can project themselves, unlike in movies.
I'm convinced the only reason Arcane was good was because the game it's based on doesn't really have a story, just lore.
