Having a rabbit on my lap at a baseball game would make me MORE anxious, not less...

Some rabbits will sit on your lap and snuggle you the whole time. Some rabbits will wait until you relax and then bolt into the crowd. It depends on how they've been socialized, but if you didn't raise them, you won't know which it is until it tries to escape.
