We’ve been through this before and it pushed our country into alternative foreign owned and backed media shit. The Rebel Media and such got a huge surge in traffic after Trudeau promised funding to the CBC. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills at this point, does nobody else remember this shit?
I don't remember that, no. But CBC needs funding regardless.
I have trouble believing increased funding for CBC was the majority force behind our current media landscape.
Well it was, I remember having to hear about it endlessly from all my construction friends at work constantly when it happened.
Well they sound like a petty bunch, but I still think it's the oligarchs of the continent that hold most of the blame.
Yeah, fair points.
