This is guess-free, and 14 mines left, all under those uncovered squares.

Any thoughts on how to proceed ?


EDIT - never mind. Tried brute force with the hope that the path I choose would be the right one - and lost.

But there's always a next ~~time~~ mine, lol.

And it was indeed heartening to see the Minesweeper community in Lemmy is not dead.

This was definitely tricky.

  1. The orange box can only contain 3 mines at most
  2. The 4 must therefore have its 4th mine in that upper-left space outside of the orange box, and it must apparently fill the box with the rest of its mines
  3. Therefore, the green dots must be safe, which pave the way for the 1s to be finalized, etc.
