I know. It seems Misskey/Sharkey/Akkoma/etc. support a bunch of nonstandard effects like rainbow color cycles and bouncing jelly animations. Absolutely none of those $[command] commands work on Mbin or Lemmy.

But somehow, when viewing @[email protected] Sharkey profile in Mbin, those non-Markdown tags all get stripped out gracefully. It looks like the same doesn't happen when an Mbin user tries to use those commands.

In Piefed a different subset of those tags from that Sharkey profile make it through. Somehow, this includes the HTML tag. ... just in case, .

The string ${i18n.ts._mfm.dummy} is meant to be replaced with "Sharkey expands the world of the Fediverse" or its localized equivalent.

I use IceShrimp (misskey fork being rewritten in #C) :)

At least, some markdown works.
