100% agree. I was always okay with Midichlorians because everybody seemed to have misinterpreted what Qui-Gon said when testing Anakin's blood for them. They are drawn to powerful Force sensitives, they aren't the cause of force sensitivity. it doesn't demystify the Force just because there's a measurable way to test for Force sensitivity. Yet, that misunderstanding persists to this day.
The Mortis arc is just stupid. I've never watched that far into TCW to actually see it, but I've seen clips here and there and read the synopsis on Wookieepedia and it just sounds so contrived.
