fruiterrarism (noun); the act of blatantly planting as much fruit as possible, regardless of what non-fruitarians may think, with the aim of creating an alternative to Babylon

Um. If the goal is to fix the environmental issues, wouldn't it be better to ask the local indigenous folk what the forest should look like? A monoculture of fruit trees isn't going to help the local flora and fauna recover. I'm fact, it will probably make the environmental issues worse.

ask the local indigenous folk

Who do you think is cutting down the forest in the first place to graze cows and plant cash crops?

a monoculture of fruit trees

That isn't what this project is doing. They even state that monoculture farming is bullshit and suggest natural regeneration ("Laissez-Faire") as one of the reforestation methods.

it will probably make the environmental issues worse

Worse than grazing cows?

I don’t know the specifics of this local area but usually it’s not the indigenous people driving deforestation in the Amazon. Not to say it couldn’t be in this case but I definitely wouldn’t assume that.

That said, I still like the idea of this project even if it’s a little unconventional. We may need unconventional ideas in this era of ecological collapse.

Maybe if I need to escape the gestapo I’ll join on lol
