There was plenty of vaccine denial long before covid.
"Skepticism" should be reserved for people who have looked at the evidence, reached a preliminary conclusion based on the evidence (not ideology), but aren't married to that conclusion and are willing and able to review new quality evidence and change their minds if necessary.
