I haven't collected cards since I was a kid with Pokemon, but I certainly do enjoy seeing what I get and the awesome art on most of them. I haven't really engaged with the battling portion of the game, though.
I was never really a pokemon collector. I bought the odd pack here and there but was more interested and invested in other TCGs. It's been enjoyable to see some of the names I recognize and all of the really nice artworks without having to find a way to protect and store them IRL.
