I tried reaching the mod a week ago to update this community's sidebar, but they haven't answered, and apparently haven't been active/posted anything in half a year. Do we need to contact the ani.social admins to find a new one? (any volunteers?)

I'm not completely opposed to the idea, but I play a limited range of VNs (mainly mystery VNs and romance VNs aimed at women) despite sharing lots of news about all kinds of them^^ Having a second mod with a different perspective would help a lot with community-building I think, especially since this community was intended to serve a similar audience as the r/visualnovels subreddit, which seems to mostly like galge?

I don't think what you play should really affect mod actions as long as the rules are clear and one isn't planning to ban titles they don't like/care about but I agree having a variety of perspectives can be useful. As mentioned before, I'd be happy to help - I just don't think someone who's mostly lurking should be the one to take over.

OK, in that case I'd be willing to take over if you agree to help out!

I am also mostly a duplicate of your perspective so I would not be too useful! I'll try to contribute whenever a VN drifts across my feed and I can share it though. You have helped me not be the only poster of [email protected] and I ought to pay it back.
