Sure if you ignore that keeping track of time predates capitalism by several millennia, and that the unrelenting march of entropy doesn't care about what we think regarding the economy.

It's a stretch, and not Capitalism, but arguably the primitive agrarian societies were the first to have an exploited worker class.

I said it was a stretch, tracking time certainly was already important for hunter-gatherer societies. I was not disagreeing with you.
