If a child is going to be born with severe problems that would cause the child to have a very short life full of pain and suffering, why shouldn’t the parents have that option?

Have you ever talked to a medical professional about what really severe defects they've seen? Kids born with the heart on the outside of the body? Kids who have to be on opiates from birth because they are in pain all the time? Kids whose bones won't grow, but the rest of them will, so they literally strangle themselves?

At best, you're arguing from ignorance.

Reacts viscerally to things that are real and legitimate reasons for late-term abortions

"I can't believe you've said that, OMG, so gross, blocked"

Clearly, they have no capacity for thinking critically, or they are farming responses. Don't waste your time.

And MaXimus, if you really think those scenarios are horrible, then imagine how the parents feel about the opportunity of not allowing a child to suffer in those horrible ways.

99% of Right wing propaganda is "We have a right to our feelings and you don't."

In another thread I mentioned the Tulsa massacre. I was told that people shouldn't be forced to feel guilty about things they had no control over. I asked if they felt they had a right to celebrate July 4th, because they had nothing to do with that either. No reply yet.
