The one that's been getting me killed lately is while holding shit to run, I'll press tab to open the map and it opens the steam overlay.

Shit is a horrible key for running anyway. Not sure how it became standard. I use spacebar for run and shit to jump.

Good enough for Soldier, good enough for me. The self damage stinks though.
I've had the steam overlay bound to shift+f12 for years, for this exact reason.
Also, framedata and system usage overlay toggle on shift+f9, obs recording on shift+f11, and linux terminal on shift+f10.

Yes.
If your keyboard is RGB, you could even color-code your F-keys according to what they do.
