8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. I mean, Jon Stewart and maybe some of the writers are the value there. Even if you imagined that happening, he can just go do a new show.
Something like Twitter takes a lot of doing to build; network effect favors incumbents.
Yep-- apple didn't want Jon to talk about China (and maybe a couple of other things) on the show they were paying him for. He left, started a new show (slash podcast), and got back on the Daily Show.

AI. He wasn't supposed to say anything bad about AI.
Which is funny, because Apple itself is giving one of the best takedowns of generative AI with the flagship feature on the most recent iPhone.
I think it might depend on their contacts. There's a high potential for a non compete clause
I promise you Jon Stewart does not have a clause in any contracts stating he can't continue working in his field (namely comedy writing).
He's been in the game a long time and is at the very very top of his career right now. He already retired and went into advocating for 9/11 responders healthcare and veterans benefits. He's only back to doing a show because we need him right now.

It's amazing how surgical he is while you can see he is literally shaking from anger. It's like the anger just adds fuel to the fire of his rhetorical wit.
Oh holy shit what a take down. That ending was incredible. I'd be terrified of one day meeting Jon Stewart and accidentally voicing an opinion within earshot just in case he takes issue with it.
How the heck did I miss this entire series? I've been pining for Jon since 2015, was overjoyed that he'd taken over Monday's again, and had no idea that he'd been doing a program already. Oy.
Have you seen the current speaking ability of Musk? I'd be surprised if he produces a single coherent sentence.
I hope Jon Stewart really pushes him through his filler speech and reveals Musk as stupid as he actually is.
Tho I still dont think this will happen. Musk would have to be incredibly stupid to accept this, like even more stupid than he actually is.
Replace Elon's rhetoric/lies/dumb joke non-responses with incoherent babbling and the right-wing will still say he "owned that lib".
Exactly this! I mean, I will watch it, but I won't expect anything meaningful to come out of this.
I can't see Stewart doing a puff piece. But I've been wrong before and I will be again.
