.......it was never funny. What was supposed to be the joke exactly? That millions of people in 3 years have died? That schools, and hospitals have been targeted BECAUSE they were schools and hospitals for bombing?
Yeah, I don't see the humor in any time of this war.
Did they say the entire war is funny? No, you're twisting their words.
Well for something to be not funny "anymore" it must have been funny at some point. So I get where he is coming from
It’s a turn of phrase and not a literal meaning. That’s how I understand it when people say it.
