I don't think you realize how heavy adult trees are. They'd probably also not survive. Also, maple sugaring (how to get syrup) only really works when the sap runs and the sap only runs that way at certain times of years and in certain climates. And that sap is like a 40:1 ratio of water to good stuff, assuming you even got the right variety of maple.
